Thomas Friedman said in the New York Times :

"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, think of the starving children in India and finish the dinner."

And now I tell my children:

'Finish your homework. Think of the children in India who would make you starve, if you don't."

ఇది ఎంత వరకు నిజమో ఆలోచించాలి. బాగా ఆలోచిస్తే నిజమేనేమో అనిపిస్తుంది. ఈ రోజే నాకు మా మేనేజర్ ఒక పిడుగు లాంటి వార్త చెప్పాడు. ఇప్పటి వరకు కలసి(మేము, అమెరికన్లు) చేసిన పనిని ఆగష్టు నుండి మనం మొత్తం ఇండియా లోనే చెయ్యాలి అని. అప్పుడు వెంటనే మేము అడిగిన ప్రశ్న, "అక్కడి వాళ్ళు ఏమి చేస్తారు?" అని. దానికి వాళ్ళని వేరే ప్రాజెక్ట్ లో వేస్తారు అని చెప్పాడు. అదే నిజం అవ్వాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాను. ఒకరి పొట్టలు కొట్టి మేము పొట్ట నింపుకుంటున్నాము అన్నఆలోచనే ఎంతొ బాధ కలిగిస్తుంది.
